Our curriculum is based on the needs of every student, the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes, the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and the Common Core State Standards. We utilize many resources, including the following, to deliver the best early learning experience to every student.
Handwriting Without Tears is an award-winning curriculum that offers multi sensory strategies and materials to teach pencil grip, letter formation and literacy skills. It utilizes fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction methods to enable children to master handwriting as an automatic and comfortable skill. Using research of how children learn best, Handwriting Without Tears includes materials that address all styles of learning and connects handwriting to math, social studies, ELA, and science.
Play, Learn is an integrated, developmentally appropriate curriculum for children of all ability levels that incorporates literacy and play. It uses classroom activities that are relevant, challenging, accessible to all children and designed to promote independent learning and facilitate developmental progress. Read, Play, Learn addresses cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and sensorimotor development in addition to pre-academic skills. It utilizes storybooks as the basis for integrated study, including emerging literacy, math and science centers with dramatic play, floor and table play, sensory and motor centers, music and art.
Conscious Discipline is an evidence based, trauma informed, research based social emotional curriculum. “Conscious Discipline’s foundation of safety, connection and problem-solving is leading a revolution of the heart as concepts initially applied to the classroom extend to every facet of our lives.”
