The goal of FFA is to prepare students 13-20 years of age for leadership and careers in science, business and technology of agriculture.
It all begins by enrolling in an agriculture course, by joining the FFA you will have a chance to participate in over 20 events throughout the year. Activities range from monthly meetings to community service, skill competitions, leadership workshops, travel and career oriented projects. If you’re looking for an exciting organization to join, the FFA may have just what you need.
Agriculture accounts for nearly 51 Million dollars to Wisconsin’s economy…there is a place for you in this fast-paced industry! The MHS Ag curriculum focuses on the various aspects of agriculture in the animal, plant and natural resource areas. As part of the agriculture program, students will be involved in group classroom activities, lab/greenhouse training, and hands-on projects. Each course will include intra-curricular study and activities related to the National FFA.
FFA The National FFA Organization is the largest student organization in the world…with over 500,000 members from cities, farms, and rural areas. You do not need to live on a farm to be part of the National FFA Organization. The Merrill FFA Chapter participates in community service, speaking and judging competitions, leadership development opportunities and we work to promote the importance of agriculture in our community, state and nation. Membership is not mandatory but is HIGHLY encouraged. Meetings are the second Monday of the month. New members are always welcome!
