To receive a diploma, a student must complete the graduation requirements established by the Merrill Area Public School’s Board of Education and have all obligations complete: fees, fines, and detentions. In rare instances, early graduation may be granted. Students must apply in the Counseling Office by October 1 of their senior year.
PARTICIPATION IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
As participation in the commencement ceremony is a privilege, it shall be reserved for those seniors who:

Meet the academic requirements for graduation.

Participate in practice for graduation.

Senior year is free from any acts of destruction, vandalism of school property, or unauthorized entry into school during year.

Attend at least 90% of the school/class periods in both semesters of the senior year, not including excused absences.
