At MAPS, we strive to support the comprehensive needs of students, both academically as well as social-emotionally. We also support the students of our community to flourish academically and socially to prepare each student to be career and college ready upon graduation.
Each of our buildings have comprehensive pupil services teams to holistically support students academic, social, behavioral, and mental health concerns as necessary.
Our pupil services team members within each building include school social workers, school counselors, and school psychologists. Interwoven, these roles can assist students and families in the following (but not limited to):
-
School engagement
-
Courses/credits/graduation
-
Attendance
-
Social conflict
-
Mental health
-
Assessment for special education services and program planning
-
Access resources within the community, including basic needs, community agencies/services, etc.
At MAPS, in addition to our pupil services staff, we also have licensed therapists within each of our buildings that work privately with individual students (through family insurance) for sessions. MAPS offers a remote office site for licensed therapists to provide services. If you have questions regarding the eligibility and availability for this option, you can contact your school’s social worker.
